Melanie has a well deserved and established reputation for her representation of equine and equestrian subjects.
Melanie has been accepting commissions since establishing her portrait practice in London more than fifteen years ago.
Her work includes studies and drawings of adults and children and is characterised by a sensitive touch and assured draughtsmanship. Portraits drawings are freely executed in pencil, charcoal, sanguine and pastels and have a subtle tonality while larger scale oil paintings explore mood and intensity through a highly developed sense of colour.
Sittings take place either at Melanie's studio in Chipping Norton or in her client's home.
